Inspired Teacher Certification Program Receives AmeriCorps Funding

The inaugural cohort of Inspired Teaching Fellows received some great news: They are joining the ranks of AmeriCorps Volunteers. In addition to benefiting from the nationwide network of AmeriCorps volunteers and alums, Inspired Teaching Fellows will receive an education award worth $4725 at the end of their first year of teaching.

Inspired Teaching joins the ranks of other local, mission-driven nonprofits that receive technical support and funding through Serve DC, The Mayor's Office on Volunteerism. Inspired Teaching is the first organization to receive funding from Serve DC as a 'Professional Corps' program.
